Chicago Meets Rome

– The Legendary American band will be offering a Concert as a part of the summer Festival July Sounds Good. Our blogger Jona has all the info for you.


The Band Chicago will be in concert in Rome, July 9, 2011 at Cavea 21 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica as a part of the festival July Sounds Good 2011. The  band was formed in 1967 and took its name from their native city. They have scored many important hits during their career, like If You Leave Me Now (1976) and Hard to Say I’m Sorry (1982).

The band has gone throungh many stylistic changes over the years, playing everything from progressive rock to jazz,  experimental music and melodic rock.

The band that will perform on stage will see Robert Lamm  on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane (trumpet), James Pankow (trombone), Walt Parazaider (reeds), Jason Scheff (bass and vocals), Tris Imboden (drums), Keith Howland ( guitar), Lou Pardini (keyboards and vocals) and Drew Hester (percussion).


Chicago has sold more than 38 million records sold in the U.S., thus winning 22 gold albums, 25

platinum and 8 multiplatinum. Among their accolades they have a Grammy Award, several American Music Awards a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Chicago and they even had a road named after them.
